Abstract For the development of high power density gearboxes knowledge gear mesh behavior is important. Especially, tooth deflection influences flank load distribution and basis for design modifications. Analytical numerical approaches are suitable to evaluate behavior. Since methods complex, elaborate time-consuming, fast accurate analytical still important worth be further developed assessed.
